Sejarah Pemeliharaan Hadis Nabi Pra-Kodifikasi: Studi Kitab As-Sunnah Qabla At-Tadwin Karya Muhammad ‘Ajaj Al-Khatib (W. 1443/2021)

The history of hadith, such as regarding the issue its codification, which has an important role, position, or contribution in development Islamic historiography, left various problems interpretation that are not clear, complicated, and problematic, thus triggering scholars to respond. One them is Muhammad ‘Ajaj al-Khatib through his work as-Sunnah Qabla at-Tadwin. However, ‘Ajaj’s thoughts on hadith book still explained analytically. This study aims fill gap. a literature ‘Ajaj, at-Tadwin, equipped with relevant secondary sources. result found at-Tadwin response accusations by skeptics Prophet's considered problematic their historicity authenticity. this topic only strengthen Muslim’s belief authenticity Prophet’s traditions but also enlighten understanding affirm view have been preserved since time Prophet. For Prophet SAW from beginning guaranteed be authenticated. Because, Prophet, studied, taught, maintained seriously strictly. because so much attention paid second source teachings, consequences for those who deny it heavy.
